Currently a member of City Ballet of Boston as well as a freelance artist and instructor throughout New England. Sanborn has over 25 years of teaching experience and is currently an American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum® Fellowship Instructor, who has successfully presented students for ABTNTC examinations for three consecutive years; including in levels 2A, 2B, 4A, and 5A. Sanborn has completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Primary through Level 5 of the ABT® National Training Curriculum. She is certified in Progressing Ballet Technique, Pilates Academy International Mat, and is currently working toward completing a comprehensive Pilates Apparatus Certification through Scarborough Pilates and the Kane School. Sanborn is also a NortheastArts Alliance Member.
Sanborn has danced with The Florida Ballet, North Atlantic Dance Theatre, Teatrul Balet de Sibiu of Romania, Nevada Ballet Theater, and Portland Ballet Company, of Maine. She is a 2009 magna cum laude BFA dance graduate of Point Park University with a concentration in ballet, a graduate of the Portland Ballet of Maine CORPS program under the direction of Eugenia O’brien and Daielma Santos-Decker. Her training includes summer intensives at American Ballet Theatre, Festival Ballet of Providence, Point Park University, and Boston Conservatory.
Her choreography has been presented in City Ballet of Boston’s Ballet Banquet 2024, AbunDance 2023 and Florida Ballet’s A Choreographer’s Choice 2021 and 2022. In the spring of 2019, Sanborn, along with four Boston dance colleagues, founded Penta Project; a contemporary ballet group performing Gianni DiMarco’s Danse Macabre and Sanborn’s Continuance throughout the New England area at Rhode Island Women’s Choreography Project 2019, New England Inspirational Dance Collective 2019, Artfulness Boston & NYC 2019, Dance For World Community 2019, Dancer’s Making a Difference 2019, and Boston Contemporary Dance Festival 2019. Her choreography has also been performed by students in South Shore Ballet Theatre’s Nutcracker 2023, Florida Ballet School’s End of Year Performance 2020-2023 and Summer Intensive Performance 2022, Dean College’s Faculty Concert 2019. Franklin Performing Arts Company’s Nutcracker 2019, and many more student recitals and workshops.

A lifelong dancer and creator, Carly trained in classical ballet since age 3 and went on to earn her BFA in Dance Education from the University of Tennessee and her MA in Ballet Pedagogy from New York University. She is fully certified in American Ballet Theatre’s National Training Curriculum. She has designed intermediate and advanced ballet curriculum, as well as developed and piloted a creative movement for special needs program. Before becoming a teacher, she performed many roles including the Summer Fairy in Cinderella, the titular role in The Tales of Beatrix Potter, Spanish Chocolate Soloist, Mechanical Doll, and Gingerbread Soloist in The Nutcracker, as well as many original contemporary roles. She has created original choreography and has also produced and directed scenes from The Nutcracker, including directing the Party Scene and Battle Scene in a filmed version of The Nutcracker with her students during the pandemic. Carly has a proven track record in student success and nearly a decade of teaching experience, truly relishing in nurturing students through their dance journey and onto the next phase of life. Carly’s teaching philosophy is rooted in a compassionate, developmentally appropriate approach to ballet instruction bringing both a love of movement and a passion for the science and art behind teaching classical ballet to the ballet studio. Carly moved to Maine in 2022 with her husband and their two cats and enjoys gardening and visits to the beach in her spare time.

Gabby is from Saco, ME where she grew up training with Community Dance Project (CDP) and Thornton Academy Dance Company under the direction of director Emma Campbell then Sarah Choroszy for her final year of CDP. She was also fortunate enough to expand her studies at Bates Dance Festival in Lewiston, ME and Joffrey Ballet School, Contemporary intensive in NYC during her summers.
Gabby can’t wait to expand her interests in Modern dance and teach alongside Morgan Sanborn, who she trained under building a foundation in Ballet!
Kristina has been passionate about dance from a young age. Her dance journey began at Casco Bay Movers in Portland where she gained a particular interest in hip hop. Eventually joining the Portland Youth Dance hiphop crew, where her love for the genre grew. Aside from teaching dancers the physicality of the genre, she also enjoys teaching

Aside from teaching dancers the physicality of the genre, she also enjoys teaching about the culture and history of it as well. Kristina studied at the University of Southern Maine, and was a part of her school’s dance team, performing in many half-time shows and showcases. She hopes to share her love for dance with her students, and foster a supportive environment for all dancers.
